BIO:

Jackson reclaimed her spot as America’s leading women’s steeplechaser with a convincing win at the 2005 USA Outdoor Championships with a personal best time of 9:39.78. A pioneer in the women’s steeplechase, Jackson is already been a national record holder, NCAA champion and four-time U.S. champion. She credits BYU assistant coach Patrick Shane with introducing her to the steeple. “He coached Henry Marsh (the U.S. men’s record holder) and a lot of good male steeplechasers.”

Liz is the first runner in BYU history to earn All-American letters all four years in cross country. Jackson attributes her steeple success to a strong dance background in modern dance, jazz dance and ballet.
